Full-Frontal...
The "Tin Indian" got a 55' Chevy one piece glass front end. GM made the body lines the same through their different product lines, so the Chevy front clip fit perfectly.

Random...
Went by my cousins today to check out the steer he bought yesterday. This steer is just 6 years old, and has over a 6 foot horn span. The plus is that he's halter broke. So my cousin wanted to know, if I wanted to ride him in the parade next year? I'm game... we will see.

This weekend, San Miguel car show @ The Ranch with Chuch Mead...
This one should be pretty good, if the right people show up for it. Cruse night Friday followed up with Chuck Mead of BR549 fame at 9pm. Saturday car show. And all at The Ranch honky tonk in San Miguel. So if your close, bring out your car and support this event. Lets bring the old Paso feeling back...

Powering through the uncertainty...
After two days of trying to line up the guy that I got the cars from, and his tractor, (deer season opened last weekend) I came up short. So this morning I headed out alone, to see if I could figure out how to load a 55' Chiefton with no axles. I am very pleased with myself, as this car loaded much easier than the 4-door below. I will deliver this car to the new owners tonight. Oh and by the way... They have a 440 motor, front straight axle, and posi rear end waiting to meet this car.

I'm tired, my back hurts...
Easy two hour job, turned into four hours, turned into 1 o'clock to bed. Went to pick up one of the Pontiac's last night. Everything that could have gone wrong did. The battery for the winch quickly died, pushing a heavy car uphill on a gravel driveway, no trailer lights... you can guess the rest. So a quick truck change, a tank of gas, some Jack in the Box, and we were on our way. I quickly realized that a 55' Pontiac is way too heavy for my 1/2 ton 64' Ford. Speed wobbles down the grade, with the brakes heating up to the point of no longer working. Cops riding your tail, and refusing to pass... The good news, we made it! I'm sure that car out-weighed my truck by twice, but it all worked out. Plus we had a good time through it all. Some road sodas, and the fact that I already have the Pontiac's sold, made it all worth while... Round two tonight, and the second Pontiac has no axles, sould be very interesting...

BSA tank...
Keven got this rad 1970 BSA 500 enduro from the original owner. I am doing my best to talk him out of it. The tank paint had been stripped off, due to fading over the years. We put it back to the stock pattern and color. Now all that remains to be done, is the gold BSA water transfers. Man, I need a new seat cover in my truck!

Spotted today...
Every Wed. morning, if the weather is nice, you will find the same group of "Ol' Boy" down at the Templeton Market. It's the usual group of five to ten beautifully restored Model T's and A's, wearing all of their parade accessories. Today was no different, until I passed this beauty! Sitting between Ford's, was this original paint Harley Davidson. Well I had to stop, and take a look. Very nice indeed...

A good days haul...
Had a great day today at the auction. Got some real goodies. I went to buy this super nice porcelain gas station bathroom sign, and after looking around a bit, found a bunch more to buy. My friend Mike and I noticed some cool old car parts in Bell Auto Parts bags, then Mike introduced himself to the man who had the parts there on consignment. His last name was Parks, and Mike joked, like Wally Parks, and the guy said that was his Uncle, and the parts were Wally's and his brother Ken's. So we went back and took a closer look. Inside of some old wood dressers were a treasure trove of old NOS speed equipment! Everything that we bid on went for very good, low prices. We did quite well. Mike even bought a 1968 working jukebox for $11. All in all it made for a very fun and enjoyable day... Heres but a few of the pics.

Score...
Went to a local Wednesday night auction last night. I got there a bit late, and records had been sold. I had gone earlier to the auction preview and spotted one record, among all of the Kenny Rogers and John Denver's, that I had to have. The Flying Burrito Brothers two disc set, perfect sleeve, with un-scratched records. It would only figure, that the one thing that I came for was auctioned first! So as the auction progressed, I kept my eyes open for bidder #23. After I found her, I asked her if I could buy one record from her, She said that she had bought the records for a friend of hers who was a record collector, and then she told me $5. I was quite happy with that number, and paid her. I then went home to listen to my new score... Well worth the money!
