Devil's in the detail...
This 1951 Triumph Thunderbird build is turning out to really be outstanding! Anyone who knows Bryan Thompson, knows that nothing escapes his eye. Every part of this bike has been looked over, re-worked and manipulated for the better. I again am so proud to have a small part in this build, with the hand lettering and pinstriping. There is so much that is still "top secret" that I can't show yet, but belive me, it's out of this world! If you like early custom Triumphs, then this is a bike to see. I'm sure it will be "everywhere" once it makes it's debut at Born Free 6. And the truly crazy thing is that this bike will be up for grabs on Saturday at Born Free, if you ticket is pulled! But a bunch of Born Free 6 raffle tickets, and get your chance...
Volcom Stone...
Honored to be asked to paint the award skateboard deck for the Volcom Newport 500 surf event. The theme this year was Nascar inspired, so I was tasked to create a painting along those lines. I was given full creative control, without a lot of restraints. The only stipulation, was that the stone logo must be somewhere. I also got to choose the deck. I went with the Vision Gator shape from like 1984. My own influences from my youth, are all over this board, from the Richard Petty colors, to the 80's deck. Then to find out that Jim Gray (G&S sider) at Inkgenda was making the blanks and the transfers was even better, totally 70's / 80's! A big thanks goes out to Volcom, they were great to work for, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome.

Street Chopper Magazine 45 anniversary issue...
Bryan Thompson's 1959 Triumph Pre-Unit gracing the pages of the new Street Chopper Magazine, and the 45 anniversary issue to boot. Such a great studio shoot, and the gold leafing and striping that I applied really pops. Such a great bike!
