Deutsch...

 When it came to delivery vehicles, back in the 40's and 50's, I think the German's ruled it.

    It can't be because I'm a sign painter of German descent? But I must say, that Barndoor with picture boxes cut into the sides (bringing the shop windows along) is way over the top!
