Tripped across this pile today...
Went out to my friend Matt's family's ranch today. Out behind the barn, in a field of old Willys Jeep parts, was this super cool old "T" hodrod. This car is straight as an arrow. Old slicks, all the old chassis upgrades, and in great old black paint. This one needs to be put back together just the way it is...

Leathersmith...
Tried my hand at leather working today for the first time. I have always been interested in this medium, and today I messed around with it a bit. It seems cool, I'm always interested in expanding my boundaries into different arts.

Day at the Auction...
Sunday (all day) was spent at the local auction. There were quite a few great things. I was able to pick up a few goodies. Here are some pictures I snapped along the way. From Studebaker collections to farm built Chevy stovebolt powered buzz saws. The picture at the bottom, had to be taken. Although there were chairs everywhere, this older man spent most of the day sitting on the handle of his umbrella... It looks quite un-pleasant, but somehow, it didn't seem to bother him. It bothered me...

Spent Saturday trap shooting and BBQing with the family. And although the bottom picture looks like a soiled diaper, it was actually some deep fried alligator, that our cousin brought back from Florida (and man it was good).

Yamaha overload...
My buddy Gary sent me this picture of his dad's XS 650 after seeing the pics of Matt's below. His dad also after hearing of my plans to get a TT 500, told my buddy to tell me that singles are for girls... I think it might take a real man to ride a girls bike, right?

Today, yet again...
There is a massive oak tree in the area, and every so often I go and take a look under it, just to make sure it's still hiding it's bounty. Under the tree, off of the beaten path, are two pinnacle autos. The first is a 1947 Buick convertible, and the other is a 1958 Buick convertible. I have talked to the current owner who insists that they will never be for sale, a few times. The rub is that both of these cars were bought new by my mom's great uncle. It drives me crazy to have to sit back and watch the elements take these cars back. I will keep trying. But for now they continue to rot away... At least the 47' got covered.

Matt's got another goodie for sale...
Man I have been getting into these older Yamaha's lately. I have had my eye out for a clean TT or XT to build into a street tracker. Matt at Machine was all over this way before me, and the proof is in this super bitchin' XS 650. This bike, as with all of the builds that I have seen of Matt's, is super clean and to the point. Check out the Machine sight, to see more pics and a short action video of the bike in motion.
