I-5 southbound, heading home... Stumbled across what looked like a bus junkyard, with some vintage cars and trucks scattered around. Pulled in and made contact, with what turned out to be a great guy. Ted Campbell, owner, collector, retired bus mechanic/driver, from the golden age of bus travel. We got to talking with Ted a bit, and then he took us on a tour of his shops filled with one off, two off, three off buses, signs, books etc. This place was unreal, and a real privilege to see first hand. Aside from restoring these rare buses, Ted has also worked on many tour buses for music players, such as BB King, Asleep at the Wheel, Willie Nelson and on and on... If you ever pass by this place, stop in, Ted is a real jewel of a guy...
