Falcon Motorcycles / American Express ad...

I was half asleep on the couch this afternoon watching Survivorman, when I noticed the Kestral in a TV add. Cool, people are starting to notice...

Make fun if you must...

Went to the fair last night and caught Weezer. Not expecting to much, I soon realized that I had not given them enough credit. These guy's put on a great show! Not only did they have a strong command of the stage, but they are very good musicians. Most all of their songs have a metal drive, from the guitars to the double bass drums, mixed with a melodic overtone. They did a spot on cover of a MGMT song, as well as lead into songs with Van Halen's hot for teacher intro. Very bitchin' and at one point the entire band had Templeton Feed and Grain hats on. So make fun if you must, but I had a great time...

Wright's...

Just delivered this truck after lettering it yesterday. I like this one, clean and period correct. I put a little age on the letters, to make the logo feel as if it's been there a while...

Awesome picture of John Drummand (Livmo Joe) sometime in the early 80's. Dublin street style show at the Dublin BMX / skate shop.

Firehouse table update...

Dan sent me a pic of the firehouse table that I did the gold leaf on, now finished up. The table looks insane buried under a thick layer of clear, with the brass fire pole legs. I am very honored to have been part of this project, and have my work on a table that I'm told, will be around for 100 years. I guess I will never know for sure, but it sounds cool to me...

Fair Time...

Living in the middle of nowhere has many advantages, lack of traffic, congestion, people, etc. But there are also some hidden disadvantages, such as the occasional Internet down-time. I just, after two weeks without Internet, got re-connected to the world. It has been a very busy period, as the Mid-State Fair starts today, and I just hung the last sign an hour ago. Here are a few of the signs that I did for the fair. Sorry no pic of the fried pickle sign, but there is one of the 8 foot wiener. The bottom mural picture is one I did some years back, and it is starting to show some wear, but still shows well...

Biltwell Helmet...

Just striped this new Biltwell helmet. Man these helmets are cool. Way more sparkle than any of my old metal flake helmets. They almost make it hard to track where your lines are going (even in the shade of my shop).

3:10 in Yuma, or there abouts...

Shots from the road. The middle of nowhere, a huge car lot of vintage vehicles. Prices are as high as the desert temperature. A great place to look through though. The 61' Caddy truck is said to have been a Ed Roth build?...

Random gas station shot from today. These cars crack me up. They just don't make any sense at all. I took some pics of this Benz, and then the owner walked up behind me. I said, I hope you don't mind, and he was very happy to let me take a photo or two. He had the raddest mouth of rindstones that I think I have ever seen. Gold Mercedes emblem on a chain and sparkly everything else. He turned out to be really cool though, as he cleaned his tires, while putting $5 worth of gas into his car...

The Gallo Blanco @ the Clarendon Hotel...

If you ever find yourself in Phoenix, do yourself a favor and eat at the Gallo Blanco. This is the best meal that I have had in quite some time! I wanted to go back there tonight, but had other plans. The restaurant is in the lobby of the equally impressive Clarendon Hotel. Both places are very cool, and the prices are super reasonable. Search this place out, it is really worth it...
